Today we ventured to Chenango Lake where we visited the lake house my great grandparents built and the place my brother and I spend our summers growing up.  It was so much fun seeing it as an adult!  It’s been fixed up a bit but still holds it’s rustic charm. Here are a few pictures…

  1. Oh my, this brought back memories. I lived in Norwich for a couple of years, but spent my summers as a child growing up on the Finger Lakes. New York has these smaller lakes like Chenango, that are hidden treasures. With the unbearable heat and humidity on central Virginia summers, there is rarely a day that goes by that I do not think and often long for the cold waters of New York’s many beautiful lakes. What a treasure to be able to go back to your grandparents home. Enjoy!
