This past weekend I actually talked my hubby into coming with me to do a little “picking”.  This isn’t our normal thing actually I can usually never get him to come along for the ride but he agreed.  We checked out a couple places and I found a few treasures but all in all it seemed to be a mild afternoon.  I found some vintage books, old wood golf clubs and tennis rackets.

We were headed home and my #1 picker, my mom, called and said ” There is a truck and all this furniture and you need to get over here now!  I’m guarding a table for you”.  This is why she is my #1 picker.  Hubby and I drove over and they were gutting an old house and selling everything inside.  Now this wasn’t pretty stuff it was pretty gross to be honest but if you have a vision it’s a dream for someone like me.

3 hours later and two hauls with Gerty and Ira we scored the honey pot!  Mom said “this gets my endorphins pumping” I love her….now I know where I get the thrill of the chase from!  Here are some pictures of some of the finds ….come and see us as Rough Luxe Marketplace this month to check out all the goodies!
