This week’s Featured Before + After comes to us from Jessica Davis. She was also featured on Annie Sloan’s Instagram page and loads of other fabulous design outlets!  Her kitchen transformation is one to be admired….seriously it’s CRAZY AMAZING what a little paint can do for your kitchen!  Check out her feature on Apartment Therapy too!

Jessica met with one of her friends Azie, who owns a vintage decor shop in Montclair, NJ. Her friend gave her the idea to use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®. Azie said chalk paint would solve all her problems with the paint. Jessica was still skeptical about the decision of using chalk paint because she thought it wasn’t her thing. Soon she discovered she wanted to take the leap and use Chalk Paint!

This photo comes from her Apartment Therapy Feature story. Jessica has transformed her entire kitchen using Chalk Paint®, by Annie Sloan. In the beginning, she thought that her old kitchen was really hideous. Jessica had decided to spice it up by having black granite countertops, brown and wood cabinets would turn into a beautiful white. She felt as if a larger renovation was not in the cards, but she knew the kitchen needed a change so she decided it was a time to get creative on a budget….perfect timing to involve Chalk Paint!

Jessica used Pure White on the top cabinets and a mix of Chateau Grey and Provence for the sage green on the bottom cabinets. She sealed in her paintwork and protected it from water and grease using the Clear Chalk Paint® Wax.

“It’s not actually chalky, Its non -toxic and has practically no VOC’s, it can be used as floor paint, there is zero prep needed, and the colors are easy to mix.” – Jessica

After painting the cabinets, Jessica thought the floor needed a change. She always loved the look of patterned cement tile, but she thought it was a down-the-line investment. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint can be used on floors with a certain sealant on top of the paint. She decided to go with the new floor transformation too and work with stencils to make the floor stand out. Jessica used Pure White Chalk Paint® and Graphite on the floor. She said it changed the room drastically.
