Today we have a great desk makeover on the blog.  This guy was done by Susan from Arlington, Virginia.  Here is a little bit about her project in her own words….

My husband found this desk that someone had thrown away on the side of the road in Georgetown. It had a very large burn on the top of the desk which had been caused from a candle.  He initially filled in the area that was burned with wood filler and then sanded that down.  We then painted the trim and the desk with Annie Sloan’s Old White and once that dried applied a coat of Annie Sloan’s Paris Grey to everything but the trim.  Once this was completed the desk was lightly distressed with sand paper and then applied a coat of Annie Sloan’s clear wax then a coat of Annie Sloan’s dark wax was applied , but we diluted the dark wax with 1 potion of dark wax to 2 portions of clear wax.
