We talk a lot about what you can do with Jolie’s Furniture Paint, but have you taken a look at Jolie’s Gilding Wax? This is by far one of the easiest DIY projects around. Definitely something you should tackle this weekend!
The project we’re featuring today was a custom paint project that was brought into the store. The gentleman who brought it in picked two of these up from a local home goods store, but didn’t love the color. As you can see it has a kind of rusty, bronzey, weathered type of patina. Perfect for some, but not for others. He was looking for something a bit more on the silver side, a bit lighter. We also have the gilding wax in gold and copper in case you’re looking for something a bit more glam.
I took this cool chandelier home one weekend and finished it up while the kiddos played in the back yard! First I gave it a quick wipe to make sure it was clean or leftover residue from the store. Then, I grabbed my Silver Gilding Wax (pick it up in our store!) along with Modern Master Metallic Paint and brushed it on. You can absolutely use a brush to do this, but I found it a bit easier to use my finger.
As you can see this project was quick and easy and has a an awesome result! With no need to add a top coat, you just brush this on and your project is finished! We particiularly loved the look that Jolie’s Gilding Wax gave this piece! Be sure to check out our IG video on the process to see just how EASY this was!
