This week’s reader submission includes not one but TWO before and afters! Why? because both of the pieces submitted went from busy and dated to simple and chic after their transformation with a little Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan.

Both projects were submitted by Stylish Patina readers and shoppers.

Here is your first before photo, a busy painted buffet – this project was submitted by Stylish Patina reader, Kathleen.

Kathleen painted this piece using Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan in Aubusson Blue. She also used Annie Sloan’s clear wax. You can find both Chalk Paint and all the waxes you need to transform your pieces in our online shop, here.

And here is the after of Kathleen’s transformation!

We love that this piece went from busy to simple and chic.

Next up we have a project from Stylish Patina reader and shopper Susan. This was Susan’s first project, here is the before of the dated dresser she transformed.

Susan painted this dresser using Chalk Paint in Old White. It is her daughter’s dresser and was in need of an update, “It really looks like a different piece of furniture,” said Susan.

Here is the after of Susan’s dresser transformation.

After_OldWhite.jpgWe love the finished product! An updated, clean, simple and sweet white dresser.
