I LOVE when you all send me your before and after pics!  So this one is from Jan.  She bought the raw buffet from me, then took a class and finally got up the courage to tackle this beast!  This is what she used…

“I used Old Ochre, a coat of clear wax, then I distressed it with 220 sandpaper, and put on one more coat of clear wax. “

It looks amazing!  So don’t be afraid to jump in and start painting {and send me pics when you are done!}.  I just added a few paint classes for the summer check them out.

Is it just me or do the before and after pictures look like they’re not the same piece of furniture? The before one has drawers at the top and doors on the bottom. The after has doors in the middle and drawers on the sides. That’s more of a change than just paint if it’s the same buffet…

  5. It’s a little uncommon for me to notice and comment on informative articles, but yours attracted my attention. You’ve made your content interesting, intelligent and sensible with unique viewpoints. I’m glad I landed here today.

Okay, one more thing 🙂 about the bottles. I just saw some on Pinterest where they left all the scratches inside (perhaps even created them on purpose) and it looks good. It was on a group of all white ones. For those who like the distressed look, it may be the way to go, then they don't have to worry about getting such great coverage and being so careful.Liz
