We welcomed our little love bug, Greyson Yvette Thompson, January 4th at 11:29am. She was 7lb 11oz and 20″ long.
She is just adorable and we are taking in ever last minute. She will likely be our last baby so I am trying to enjoy it as much as possible. The twins are loving her and so far the transition has been smooth outside of the lack of sleep that is normal with a new little bundle of joy. We are so lucky that the twins are great night time sleepers so that makes life a little easier in the evenings. I feel like this is a perfect spread in ages between the kids since the twins are a little more self sufficient, can talk, walk, etc.
The question I get the most is “Does it seen easy after having twins?” the answer is YES and no. I would say taking care of one infant at night is way easier than caring for two. Also I think the second time you have a baby you don’t stress as much. You know that this too shall pass whether it be sleepless nights or a fussy baby.
There are lots of little things that make it easier as you can imagine BUT the hard part is jugging to very active 2 year olds that need some love from mom and feeding an infant every couple hours. Luckily we have lots of great help most days but it still breaks my heart when I can’t pick up the twins (no lifting after the c-section) . The no lifting has been the most difficult part for me since our guys still love to get picked up, carried and snuggled (yes they are spoiled and we love it).
I am attempting to take time off to heal and enjoy our new addition but it’s hard for me. We have had some great opportunities come our way lately so I am working behind the scenes on some upcoming projects for 2017 and bring in great new items for the shop and rough luxe warehouse. We are considering another pop up location as well. No life does not slow down just because you have a baby…… here a few more pictures of our sweet girl.
She is absolutely adorable. Congratulations. !!!!!!!
