We often talk about how versatile Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan is – you can use it on all types of furniture and colors. But, did you know that you can even use it on fabric? Check out these tips from Annie herself:
Did you know you could dye fabric with Chalk Paint®? Dip dyeing with Chalk Paint® is a great way to completely change the color of a fabric!
Annie Sloan shares that Chalk Paint® is highly pigmented and works incredibly well as a dye. The ingredients are simple: Chalk Paint® and cold water. You can control how intense the color comes through simply by adding more water. Linen, cotton, cotton voile, and synthetic curtains all work well with this technique. You can also use patterned cottons or linens. Annie recommends that once dry, the fabric be ironed or machine dried to set and seal the color.
