My Falls Church design client’s house is starting to get put back together (see the before here and the demo here) and we are finalizing paint color, flooring, and how to deal with some ugly stairs!
If you have done a renovation you know this is what usually happens….you say I’m going to update the kitchen. Then you say well I might as well add some recess lighting, and redo the floors, and paint the hallway, and then your designer says “what about those ugly stairs going up to the second floor? While you are at it lets do something about them!”.
I have renovated 3 homes of my own in the past 8 years (I think?) so I know this drill well both as a consumer and as a designer helping clients. It’s a slippery slope but there are certain things worth doing once you already have everything moved out and people working in your house.
That ugly staircase is one of them. Yes it’s going to cost money but honestly after you spend all the money to make your 1st floor pretty you will be so annoyed by those ugly stairs I promise, plus we will show you the “cheap + cheerful” option we picked for these stairs later!
Rough Luxe Warehouse is open this Saturday from 10-5 if you are in need of some fabulous vintage furniture!
