This week, we thought we’d feature a really special product that would make a perfect last minute Valentine’s Gift! We’ve been carrying the KOBO line of SEED candles for a while now and they have always been a hit. The company was started in Japan in 2006 before the owner of the company and her husband finally settled in New York. She created the line with the belief that fragrance plays a huge role in brining spaces to life.

The candles come in beautiful crisp, clean scents like Sweet Sunflower, Somerset Thyme, and Crushed Mint. What distinguishes these candles though is that they are 100% soy, with the soy beans being grown domestically and sustainably. They are GMO-free AND the wick is 100% Cotton, which means they burn cleanly and don’t pollute your home, while still filling your space with the most beautiful scents.

What makes the SEED line of these candles so special though is that the boxes are made using 100% recycled paper which are printed using vegetable-based inks. The box these candles come in are made to be planted, as they contain seeds to “grow the scent.”

It’s as easy as:

  1. Soaking the package
  2. Burying the packaging in soil
  3. Watering the seeds
  4. Waiting
  5. “Applying” Sunshine
  6. Caring for the seeds with love
  7. Harvesting
