I really enjoy mixing the Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan and wanted to share with you my most recent color combo! I wanted a light grey that wasn’t as blue as Paris Grey and not as dark as French Linen. So being the clutz that I am the other day I dropped a new can of French Linen on the ground and it busted open! I quickly picked it and decided that I’d use this can to play with mixing colors.
I took roughly 40% Pure White, 40% French Linen and 20% Paris and mixed it all together. i played with the color a bit but think that this is roughly the % mix that I did {much easier to do this is smaller batches:-}. The end result I love…I ended up painting a beautiful french provincial china cabinet and desk with this color and really adore it. Both of these pieces are in the shop now at Stifel & Capra so feel free to swing in and take a look at them in person! If you have mixed the colors I’d love to hear about your experiments!
Looks great! I used a similar mix on my dining room table and chairs…a greige-y color…works perfectly with just about every color under the sun!
this mixing is so fun to me:-)
I love the desk and the color is lovely!
love the color…and so right about the blue of paris grey…I love mixing too and whites and linen work so well with so many…along wiht coco…right now I am painting a little chair that is so….old and shakky that all my efforts to firm up are still not getting it to work…so I now is my play chair with ASCP sample pots…a Red/white/blue chair…that will be fun on a porch..in our neck of the woods…we have a big 4rth parade and Rodeo…so this will be great for our front window….at the shop where I sell my finds…love your blog
