Many of you know the very talented Christen of Blue Egg Brown Nest. One day when she was headed out to our Rough Luxe Market she was putting on her fathers gorgeous rings and had a thought…..she emailed me right aways and send me some pics of his, Richard Masaniello, amazing work and asked if I might be interested in carrying his jewelry line in the shop. The moment I saw it I said YES!
The family came into the shop and we had a great time, they are a wonderful. Here is a little information about Mr. Masaniello and just a sampling of his handcrafted work! More to come….
“My work is almost all my “one-of-a-kind” original designs completely hand fabricated (handmade) using a range of sizes and shapes of sterling silver wire and flat sheet. These are hand bent, coiled, hammered, braided, shaped, filed, soldered and finally polished on a “wheel” to form the designs I originated.
Each piece is made completely by hand, a skill I learned starting when I was 5 years old helping my father in his Queens NY design studio. Although I designed and made jewelry and metal sculptures all my life I pursued a full time career as a mechanical engineer and metallurgist. Some artist focused bio information and photos of a few of my recent pieces are shown on the Great Falls Studio website.”
