Today we have a few DIY Halloween projects for you that don’t require toil or trouble, but are sure to make your home the most spooktacular house on the block. These ideas are perfect projects to do with the kiddos to celebrate the spookiest season and get you in the mood for a hauntingly fright-bulous Halloween! I think we’re done with the puns, just can’t help ourselves.

The DIY Witches Guide to a Spooktacular Halloween:

1. Glitter Pumpkins
So easy even a little goblin can do it. A fun and easy after school project – lay out brown paper, paint your pumpkins with glue where you’d like the glitter to go, and sprinkle with a spoon! You could even use to tape to create patterns if you are feeling particularly crafty.

2. Painted Halloween Signs
Warn thy neighbors and of the tricks and treats ahead by filling your front yard with Halloween signs like “Keep Out” and “Beware”. Buy chalk paint here – its perfect for the job.

3. Old Book Pumpkins
Have damaged old books that need a new purpose? Make them into pumpkins! Tutorial here.

4. Witches’ Broom Treats
Make these easy witches’ broom treats by snipping a paper bag, fill it with candy corn and wrap twine around a stick. The best part? They are treats that double as table decor!

5. Halloween Mantle
Give your mantle the spooky treatment by stretching fake spider webbing over a vintage window. Add a few spiders, some pumpkins and candles and you have a frightful but cute mantle.

6.  Paper Bat Cutouts
Use black paper bat cutouts on pumpkins, hang them from trees, or a branch inside. This really is an easy way to add Halloween fun to your decor. Cutout templates available here.
