Today’s guest post is a fab DIY accent table that you can make for only 30 bucks! Stylish Patina reader Michelle Lepak, owner and blogger at Dandelion Patina, submitted this stylish project. Take it away, Michelle!

“I found a silver vintage platter at an estate sale and pieced it together with a metal base I found on clearance at TJ Maxx. I used E6000 to adhere the two pieces together and presto, a stylish accent table with history! A one-of-a-kind piece that you can’t find in any big box store. Timeless and trendy, and yes you CAN mix the two!”

“It all started with this gorgeous silver platter. I found it at an estate sale for under $15. I loved the scroll design on the platter itself and the hobnail details on the handles were just icing on the cake,” said Michelle.

“I found this lost little fella in the clearance aisle. I started feeling a bit giddy because in that instant, I knew I could piece the platter with this base and make a one-of-a-kind table. What a great DIY project,” said Michelle.

“Then came time to assemble the table – first, I needed to measure to find the middle of the platter. This ensured the platter would be even on all sides of the base. Once this was accomplished it was time to lay the adhesive. I used E6000,” said Michelle.

“And voila! I am very pleased with how this piece turned out. It is the perfect piece to display a mini collection of keys on. And doesn’t it look like a $200 table? Something from Anthropologie perhaps?” said Michelle.
