I found this great long coffee table at a consignment shop and just saw the potential once it was painted white and gently distressed. To me it had all the things I look for in furniture to refresh: 1 – sturdy and 2- great lines.
I debated on using a fun color to add a little pop to someones home but decided to go with good old “Old White” by Annie Sloan. It’s easier to add color sometimes to a piece than paint over it. PLUS the wood was dark so I new when I distressed it it could be very cool. I used clear wax to finish it off and make it nice and durable over time.
Hmm … I have not named her yet…maybe we will call her Lily!

Good name!!!
I love how your table looks with the chalk paint. I want to try the paint but so far I don’t see any samples. I hope to go visit their store in the next few months.
