So if you read the blog you know that I had {and I suppose still do} have a chair fetish {along with a few other fetishes, doors, crates, vintage scales….I could keep going}. the thing I LOVE about chairs is that you can usually get a good deal on them and make them into something fabulous!
Today’s before & after post is about a set of chairs I’ve been hoarding in my basement for a long time. I finally busted them out and refreshed them. Chairs can also be a bit time consuming if you are redoing the seat, etc. but when they are done you feel proud.
Here is the BEFORE…
And then the after….so I used Old White Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan. then distressed them and added a little gilding wax to give them just a little something special.
AFTER
You can see these on my Etsy Online Shop too. Now it’s your turn!
SEPTEMBER 22nd Chalk Paint™ Basics class, register online!
i love them! i love the eclectic mix unified by the seats! thinking i need two more chairs for my dining room and may have to unify with paint and fabric, too… and i am so loving the gilding wax. i used it on my project for today’s post and the project i have going up on thurs! i big puffy heart it.
The chairs look great! But that fabric… I just got a 10 yard ‘remnant’ of it last week and spent the weekend making pillows. I knew I had seen it somewhere, it must have been your FB post last week. I love it and have lots of extra.
Kelly, these are fabulous! Love them. I need to swing by and pick up the gilding wax. I have yet to try it and it looks fun!
