So this client had a beautiful vanity that she wanted refreshed. I was even more excited about the project after I found out that the vanity had been passed down through the generations and they were planning on using it in their home after they got married!
This project was special. Much like when I do furniture for mom’s to be it’s really neat to be apart of helping a family make a house a home or bring home a new addition to the family..I just love it!
“L” decided on Annie Sloan’s Graphite for her color {yeah I new I was going to like this project…a unique color}. The top she wanted to leave as is so we just cleaned it up with some 0000 steel wool and Howard’s Refinisher.
Here are our before and after pictures {excuse the not so fab pics…not to much room to work in the house these days}.
That turned out fabulous! I like th granite also with the orginial wood top!
More before and after photos, please! Love to see the transformation!
After painting graphite what did you do? Did you use light or dark wax or is there something else? I love this look and have a piece I would like to do similiar. Love your work!
i use clear wax!
