Who has celebrations, fireworks and what are the restrictions? Don’t worry -we’ve got all the details. Keep on reading to see what’s going on around Falls Church and our neighboring communities!

Falls Church City July 4th Events

Unfortunately, due to construction at Meridian High School, Falls Church has cancelled its annual fireworks show. The City of Falls Church is hosting an Indpendence Day themed Scavenger Hunt for everyone to partake in instead. With only a map, you’ll learn to navigate this little town all the while finding the 13 historical markers throughout the City. Near each marker, will be a sign, placed by the Recreation and Parks Department. All you have to do is matchthe colonies with their historic sites on the Scavenger Hunt Form and you’ll win a free Declaration Celebration T-shirt.

How do you participate? Download your Scavenger Hunt Form & Map, and turn in the completed form to the Recreation and Parks department at Cherry Hill Park or at the Community Center. You can also email a copy to events@fallschurchva.gov before 6:30 pm on the fourth to get your free T-Shirt.

While you’re Falls Church City, stop by Cherry Hill Park and listen to music. Sudden M. Pac Band will be playing live music from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm on July 4th.
