Well it’s been an exhausting few days BUT we do have a lot of furniture in the shop. Granted nothing has been painted yet or staged but the moving is the part I hate. Laura is my lifesaver! Yesterday she helped me move rugs around in my house because as if I don’t have enough going on we are going to do an episode on this DIY network and they are coming Saturday to film in the house. These are the days that my husband says “I had no idea what I was getting into when I married you!” and my mom says “why do you always have to be doing 10 things at once?”. Honestly…I don’t mean to do it!
Anyway…lots going on at the Millspaugh Thompson house (oh yeah and I think we are going to just gut the basement and hold off on the addition for a year and yes that starts next week…). I’m guessing my blog posts will be more about all of these crazy adventures the next couple weeks vs. beautiful interior design picture from the Internet. Stay tuned….
Pics of the evolution of the shop…..and seriously how many Sisile rugs do you need for a shop that is larger than your own home….about 10 or more!
Congrats to you, Kelly! How awesome…I’m slightly envious; I’m itching to combine our studio/warehouse space with cute retail space. Oh, and girl, I LOVE the styling in that first photo…how clever with the stacked suitcases as a side table! So cute! Good luck to you, lady…not that you’ll need it. Hard work and passion tend to bring luck your way!
thanks!!
Good luck! It is going to look great!
how much are you asking for the “if you want to know where your heart is” sign?!?! I LOVE IT … dying for it! And I live in FC so could swoop by any time. Please let me know!
Hi Stephanie!
The sign is $35. I could go ahead and drop it off at Stifel & Capra (260 West Broad Street, Falls Church Va 22046) if you are interested. Just let me know when you plan on stopping by!
Counting the days until you are open–here I come!!!!
HI, Kelly
How exciting! I am loving the new rugs, where did you get them at? I am so happy for you. Keeping my fingers cross you are able to finish up everything on time.
Vanessa
They are just good ol’ IKEA rugs.
best of luck and the sissal rugs brilliant for setting your looks….and heavy double stick tape…I would imagine the rugs are also so you can run cords for lighting
Hi there,
I’ve got a new shop in northern California. Is this your first, or just a new location? I love the high ceilings! It’s going to look great, when you’re finished, I’m sure. No time to rest!
Have fun!,
Barbara
I have a monthly barn sale I do and I’m moving into a large space for this shop.
