As you all know, we are huge fans of gilding wax and believe that it’s such a brilliant way to personalize and glam up your piece while really highlighting the little details that make your piece unique. But it’s also a great way to add some interest to more simple pieces! Check out Annie Sloan’s videos below for a couple ideas on how you can incorporate gilding wax into your next project!

We love how Annie layers different colors of gilding wax together for an added bit of contrast and to give an authentic, aged look to her pieces. Because we were feeling so inspired ourselves, we took to Pinterest for even more ideas. Keep scrolling for some of our favorites!

How beautiful are those stripes?! We love the idea of thin, vertical stripes too! What are some of your favorite painting tips? Comment below for a chance to be featured!

Happy Painting!

What paint color and technique did you use on the above gorgeous frame. I just Tried a gold rub paint on a very wide round frame and it came out terrible. I need to fix it. Thank you in advance.
