Wow this weather has been crazy! I even broke out my rain boots!
Since the rain was coming I decided to try and finish up some of the projects that I had sitting under a tarp outside, yes I store some of my treasures under a tarp outside…as Yvette would say it’s very “Sanford & Son” but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!
One of the goodies was a vintage vanity that I named Annabelle. Basically I pulled out the large spray painter in an effort to knock out a bunch of projects BUT since I’ve become so used to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (ASCP) I just wasn’t feeling it so now I’m doing all the pieces by hand with ASCP. Annabelle was really not looking good; to point where I almost gave up on her and dropped her off at the Goodwill for someone else to play with…then one night this week I started working on a couple other things and then put a coat of ASCP in Country Grey on the top of her and then the next thing I knew I was trying Aubusson blue on her base and then she was done! I love the soft colors but I really like using colors that is you boyfriends and husbands can still appreciate as well. I think this is why I use Graphite a lot.
Here is Annabelle….
Annabelle is now listed on our Stylish Patina Etsy Shop if you want to visit her or share her with friends.

perfect puddle splashers for the “kid” in you. i know i would if could….
totally !!! Yvette my new business partner she found come cowboy rain boots so we need to get those for when we have a barn:-) Thanks for following!
I love Annabelle – she’s lovely! Have you ever tried ASCP in your sprayer?
Hi
I have not tried ASCP in my sprayer and really the reason why is that I feel like there is a lot of waste when you use a spray and the paint is pretty expensive PLUS depending on the texture of the piece I might end up adding water to the paint in the middle of the project etc. so the brush gives me this flexibility. All that being said I know people had done it so got for it! And tell me how you liked it:-) have a great day!
