I am almost in my 3rd trimester so I have to actually start wrapping my head around moving the twins upstairs to a new room and designing a new nursery for baby girl.  I have just started playing with some ideas.  Since we are only having 1 baby vs. 2 one boy one girl it’s a little easier to potentially add some more statement pieces this time around.  The boy/girl decorating can be a little challenging and so neutrals were used a lot last time and I still love the calming effect of their room.  I will have the same challenge when we move them upstairs but since they are older I think we can have some fun with it.  I have Pinterest Board dedicated to things that catch my eye if you want to check it out.  All of these images and the original source on listed.

As for the new nursery I have been going back and forth regarding the crib.  I really LOVE this MCM crib.

But it’s a little pricy so then I started thinking about maybe stepping outside the norm into  black / navy blue cribs.  Something sophisticated that I could add gold and pinks to the room to girly it up a bit.  I’m not a traditional pastel pink kind of gal so when I use pinks they tend to be hot pinks / deep pinks.

Here are a couple inspirational nursery rooms that used black cribs that I thought were well done.

I am not going to paint the walls so the below image is not in the cards for us but I do love the deep wall color with the light crib, vintage inspired rug and wood toned dresser.  It’s a nice “grown up” nursery.
