We close in the new house in about a week and I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row so when we get the keys we can start the first stage of renovation right away. If you want to read a little more about the new house & the babies (no the twins don’t have names yet) you can do so here.
I spent the weekend looking at kitchen cabinetry again and paint colors for the interior of the house. I’ll share these with you this week. On the exterior of the house many of the “curb appeal” items are going to have to wait since the priority is getting us in the house before the babies come. One items we will do is something with the front door and the little overhang area.
The metal all weather door will come off right away and then we will paint the front door. I am also considering pairing the interior of the door area a very pale blue. Some of the colors I am looking at are in the blue and peacock family for the front door. Here are a couple potential contenders. The brick on the house has a bit of orange/salmon in it so I need to play with it a bit once we have the house.
Do you have any front door color you really love? If you are looking for inspiration for your front door I have a Pinterest Board full of ideas here with a variety of colors.
Looking at the same blues for our front door. Try Ben Moore Bracken Blue-CW-600; C2’s Churchill-C2-230 and C2’s A Cappella C2-717. All at Potomac Paints. Also the Washington Design House’s front door color from this year was a real Tiffany blue and was more daring!
hi!
Do you know the color of door 3? With the bike in front..
Thanks!
