We are counting down the days until Lucketts Spring Market! We dropped of Ira (our vintage truck) out there yesterday and have Gerty packed to move out on Thursday morning bright + early. Friday is a VIP shopping day that you had to buy tickets for ahead of time but Saturday and Sunday is open to the public. Come and see us, as you come in the gates we will be in the field to the right. You can’t miss Ira parked in the corner!
I haven’t done the Spring Fair in a couple years since we were busy with the Shop, Rough Luxe and having twins! This year I decided we were going to head back and enjoy being apart of the best vintage market in our area. With juggling the other two location and buying for Spring Market we had to be organized so we actually pack Gerty (our box truck) Monday as well as one of my SUV’s so all we have to do it drive out Thursday morning.
Here is a shot of us starting to load the truck with Sarah + Heather …
…then we moved onto Sarah + Heather climbing over furniture to load in ever last piece we could…
And finally we had to give up and close her down.
I’m pretty sure we threw a few more things on top before we actually closed the door. Then we pack an SUV with smalls and loaded Ira with doors and other salvage type items.
Rough Luxe warehouse will be open as usual Saturday 10-5 and of course the shop will still be open too!
i have a question. I have two lamps with brass accents (band around the bottom and around the top of the lamp itself). the lamp is heavy glass (from JCP) but the brass is really showing its age. Can I paint the brass with grey chalk or the general finishes paint? strange question, but I can’t seem to find any lamps I like (they are touch lamps and very very heavy).
thank you!
yes use Chalk Paint not GF it won’t stick but I have done this many times with Chalk paint – you can wax when you are done painting!
