Today’s before and after is a real treat and totally shows the versatility of chalk paint and how creative you can get with it.
This project was submitted by Diane over at the Paint Factory in Portland, Oregon. When we asked Diane to tell us a little bit about herself, she said “I‘d like to think of myself as a crazy, premenopausal, brush-welding, lover of wine. But, I do refinish furniture also,” which had us a cracking up! Her creativity and eye for color really shine through in this vintage chair transformation.
Here is the before.
Love this chair, it has great bones but was definitely in need of an update.
And update Diane did! She decided to paint and re-upholster this chair (round of applause for her DIY bravery).
“This is an antique chair that I upholstered in William Morris-inspired fabric,” said Diane. She also used Duck Egg Blue chalk paint (swoon!) and a silver paint as well.
Here is the after of Diane’s lovely chair transformation.
Thank you so much Diane for sharing your fab project!
