This week’s featured before & after will simply blow you away. Submitted by the super talented Gigi over at Painted Restorations, located in New Jersey, this piece is inspirational.

Gigi’s project rescued an old vanity, that was significantly scratched, and transformed it into a chic, frenchie style vanity, fit for any master bedroom or bath.

Here is the BEFORE shot of Gigi’s vanity.

Gigi then used chalk paint to transform this piece – as well as stenciling to create a textured look on the sides of the vanity. She also replaced the hardware to finish the look.

We need more than a drumroll for this reveal, maybe an entire drum line could do a drumroll…without further ado, here is Gigi’s completed project.

Gigi’s transformed vanity is simply stunning. And a great example of how much you can accomplish with a little creativity and paint. Thanks for sharing, Gigi!

I am coveting that piece. I wished she had done something special on the upholstered back of the chair…

    Hi Kelly!!!

I love the way the vanity was completed!!! The stenciling on the side gave me a great idea for my dining room hutch. I love it!!!

    Have a great weekend!!!

    Hi Kelly,
Congrats! The babies are beautiful!…and I’m glad you are feeling better. I haven’t contacted you recently, (I took some classes from you a couple of years ago, but I still buy all my supplies at your shop. I was wondering on Gigi’s piece, what color chalk paints did she use. It looks like it could be old ochre with dark wax and old white with clear wax. I could be wrong, but I love the contrast of those 2 shades. Your thoughts?

    Thanks and Take Care,
    Diane
